Professor Young-kyun Kim


Professor Young-kyun Kim, Dean of the College of Business at Incheon National University, has been elected President of the Korea Association of Business Education, one of the leading major academic societies in the field of business in Korea. The Korea Association of Business Education is a large-scale academic organization with approximately 4,000 members and has long led the advancement of business education and research. As the 40th President, Professor Kim will lead the association while carrying forward its long-standing history and achievements.


The Korea Association of Business Education is a representative academic society in Korea that encompasses business theory, practice, and educational innovation. It has served as a bridge between academia and industry, presenting directions for business education. In recent years, the association has expanded its academic scope by addressing emerging management issues such as rapidly changing business environments, digital transformation, and ESG.


Prior to this election, Professor Kim served as President of the Korea Society of Industrial Information Systems, where he contributed to the effective management of the association and the revitalization of academic exchanges. Based on this experience, he is regarded as a suitable leader to ensure the stable operation and sustainable growth of the Korea Association of Business Education.


Upon assuming office, Professor Kim identified strengthening communication among members as his top priority, stating, “Through member-centered governance, I will create a virtuous cycle in which academic achievements are naturally shared and disseminated.” He also announced plans to promote key initiatives befitting a major academic association, including expanding exchanges with leading international business societies, strengthening international joint research, and enhancing cooperation in academic conferences.


Professor Kim expressed his aspirations, saying, “Building on the academic assets accumulated by the Korea Association of Business Education, I will do my utmost to help the association advance beyond the domestic stage and become internationally competitive,” adding, “I will strive to contribute to qualitative advancement in business education and to expanding its social role.”


Professor Kim’s election as President is expected to reaffirm the standing of the Korea Association of Business Education and serve as a turning point in accelerating its internationalization and expansion.
