A paper co-authored by Professor Yong-ho Jeon of the Department of Social Welfare at Incheon National University has been selected as an outstanding paper by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs in its journal, Health and Social Welfare Review.

On June 22, 2026, the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs hosted the "2026 Health and Social Welfare Review Insight Forum" to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the journal's founding, discussing major tasks and policy directions in the healthcare and welfare sectors in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). The event also featured the 8th Best Paper Award Ceremony of Health and Social Welfare Review, with one outstanding paper selected in each of the health and social welfare categories.

In the social welfare category, the paper "Financialization Policies in UK Adult Social Care and Their Consequences: Focusing on Residential Care Facilities," co-authored by Yong-ho Jeon (Incheon National University), Mi-jin Lee (Konkuk University), Hyun-joo Nam (Gachon University), and Hyun-jung Kwon (Youngsan University), was chosen for the award. The paper received high acclaim for analyzing the impact of financialization policies in UK adult care services on residential care facility management and care service delivery, as well as providing policy implications for building a sustainable care system in an aging society.
